"One in every five of the world’s out-of-school children is in Nigeria.” – UNICEF
U.S. government exchange program alumni Olutayo Afelumo is doing something about the education crisis with the "Providing Accessible High Quality Edu-Tech Driven Basic Education" program. The program provides Edu-Tech driven basic education learning centers that serve a total of 420 out-of-school children across seven communities in Bwari, a small town on the outskirts of Nigeria's capital Abuja. Embassy Public Diplomacy Officer (PDO) Joseph Schaller recently met with community beneficiaries. In expressing their gratitude for the Embassy’s support of the program, Parents spoke enthusiastically about the impact that the project has had on the lives of their children.
